This policy explains how Safety Trade Corp ("we", "us") handles information in the Port Safety Walks application, both on the web (safetywalks.app) and in the Android app on Google Play.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Account information

Your name, role (for example manager or admin), an optional e-mail address and a PIN code. We never store the PIN itself, only a secure one-way hash of it. We also record failed login attempts to protect accounts from being guessed.

Safety walk records

Walk details you enter, such as date, location or area, checklist answers, observations, comments, names of the people involved and the walk author.

Photos

Photos you choose to attach to a walk. The app only accesses images you select yourself. It does not access your camera or gallery in the background.

Phone notifications

If you turn on notifications, we store your device’s push subscription (the address of the browser or phone notification service and its encryption keys) so we can tell you about follow-up tasks assigned to you. You can turn notifications off at any time; logging out removes the subscription.

Technical data

A session token so that you stay logged in. A local copy of walk data stored on your device (browser storage), so the app also works offline. Standard server logs from our hosting provider, such as IP address and request time.

We do not collect location data, contacts, advertising identifiers or payment information. The app contains no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking.

3. Why we use it

The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the organisation in managing workplace safety, together with the performance of the employment or service relationship.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is visible only to authorised users of the organisation. Data is stored with our hosting provider, Netlify, Inc. (servers in the United States), which processes it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

5. Security

All data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. PINs are hashed, accounts are temporarily locked after repeated failed logins, and access is limited by user role.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while the account is active. Safety walk records and photos are kept for as long as the organisation needs them for safety and compliance purposes. Admins can remove user accounts at any time. Session tokens are deleted when you log out or when your account is removed.

7. Your rights and account deletion

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and you can object to its processing. To delete your account and the data connected to it, e-mail [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request" and include your user name. We complete the request within 30 days. Safety records that the organisation must keep by law may be kept in anonymised form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Latvia this is the Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv).

8. Children

The app is intended for adult professionals only. It is not directed at children under 16.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we publish the update on this page with a new effective date.

2. Kādus datus mēs vācam

Mēs nevācam atrašanās vietas datus, kontaktus, reklāmas identifikatorus vai maksājumu datus. Lietotnē nav reklāmu un nav trešo pušu analītikas vai izsekošanas.

3. Kāpēc mēs izmantojam datus

Lai pilnvaroti darbinieki varētu reģistrēt un pārskatīt ostas drošības apgaitas un veidot par tām atskaites, lai nodrošinātu datu drošību un lai veidotu darba drošības statistiku. Tiesiskais pamats ir organizācijas leģitīmās intereses pārvaldīt darba drošību un darba vai pakalpojuma attiecību izpilde.

4. Datu nodošana

Mēs datus nepārdodam un neiznomājam. Datus redz tikai organizācijas pilnvarotie lietotāji. Dati tiek glabāti pie hostinga pakalpojuma sniedzēja Netlify, Inc. (serveri atrodas ASV), kas tos apstrādā mūsu uzdevumā, piemērojot atbilstošus aizsardzības pasākumus, tostarp līguma standartklauzulas. Datus varam izpaust, ja to prasa likums.

5. Drošība

Visi dati tiek pārsūtīti pa šifrētu HTTPS savienojumu. PIN kodi ir jaukti (hash). Pēc atkārtotiem neveiksmīgiem pieteikšanās mēģinājumiem konts uz laiku tiek bloķēts, un piekļuve ir ierobežota atbilstoši lietotāja lomai.

6. Glabāšanas ilgums

Konta datus glabājam, kamēr konts ir aktīvs. Apgaitu ierakstus un fotoattēlus glabājam tik ilgi, cik tie organizācijai nepieciešami darba drošības un atbilstības prasību izpildei, Administrators lietotāju kontus var dzēst jebkurā laikā.

7. Jūsu tiesības un konta dzēšana

Jums ir tiesības piekļūt saviem datiem, tos labot, saņemt kopiju vai dzēst, kā arī iebilst pret datu apstrādi. Lai dzēstu savu kontu un ar to saistītos datus, rakstiet uz [email protected] ar tēmu "Konta dzēšanas pieprasījums" un norādiet savu lietotājvārdu. Pieprasījumu izpildām 30 dienu laikā. Ierakstus, kas organizācijai jāglabā saskaņā ar likumu, varam saglabāt anonimizētā veidā. Jums ir arī tiesības iesniegt sūdzību Datu valsts inspekcijā (dvi.gov.lv).

8. Bērni

Lietotne paredzēta tikai pieaugušiem profesionāļiem un nav paredzēta bērniem līdz 16 gadu vecumam.

9. Izmaiņas

Ja politika mainās, atjaunināto versiju publicējam šajā lapā ar jaunu spēkā stāšanās datumu.
